The outdoor area at Puddle-ducks has created an additional classroom which children are hugely benefiting from. The environment challenges children’s skills and stretches their abilities with the design of the garden keeping children constantly engaged and active. From collecting rainwater to be used in the Herb kitchen, using dams to direct the water flow or caring for the chickens by cutting real fruit and veg to treat our Chickens – the outdoor environment creates an enthusiasm for learning.

The nursery now delivers most of its curriculum outside.
