Our Childcare in London
Our Nursery is housed within a Victorian house based in a quiet lane in Putney. Access is gained via security gates after staff have identified visitors and opened the electronic gates.
There is ample space on site to house pushchairs whilst parents are at work.
Our rooms are designated to specific age groups and are fully equipped to provide a safe, comforting, attractive environment where children are looked after and their learning needs expanded.
Puddle-ducks’ No 1 aim is to ensure your child achieves their maximum outcomes for their age group and development stage. Our rooms are designated to specific age groups and are fully equipped to provide a safe, comforting, attractive environment where children are looked after and their learning needs expanded.
We have two separate dining rooms for children which can also be used as additional rooms for lessons and activities when required throughout the day. Our large garden with all weather lawn is an attractive feature and offers an opportunity for children to play and explore whilst continuing their learning.
The Nursery Manager, Louisa, has a wealth of experience in childcare, and is supported by a passionate and committed staff team. Louisa and her team give each and every child the opportunity to grow in confidence, and reach their full potential.
We take immense care in recruiting great staff that can show your child a warm caring and patient nature whilst giving comfort, guidance and supporting your child’s development needs and ensuring they maximise their potential. Our training program is so successful that we have also trained apprentices in-house who have gained employment.
Our detailed interview program, followed by a thorough induction plan, regular support and supervision/appraisals and individual training plans for successful candidates aims to ensure that care is consistently of a high quality; meaning that you can be assured that your child is looked after by individuals with a passion for our work.
Our nursery is closed for two days per year (January and August), in addition to the days between Christmas and New Year for specific staff training topics which relate to the latest Ofsted legislation and/or first aid, health & safety, early learning goals and key skills required to be a staff member of the Puddle-ducks team.
The ‘Professional Nursery Kitchen’ supply our food, they are a purpose-built central kitchen designed to produce fresh, healthy meals specifically for nursery aged children.
The ‘Nursery professional Nursery Kitchen’ have a team of chefs, and nutritionists who are all passionate about creating dishes for young children. The starting point is guidance from the government guidance Eat Better, Start Better. Then the team of Nutritionists and chefs create individual recipes and ultimately menus that are appealing to children.
