Puddle-ducks is a beautiful setting located in a private gated environment a short walk from Putney High Street. The nursery offers a tranquil environment where children become confident learners through stimulating and engaging activities. The nursery has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment and now benefits from an inspirational and innovative outdoor environment which provides endless opportunities for children to explore.

Our Nursery Features

Puddle-ducks’ No 1 aim is to ensure your child achieves their maximum outcomes for their age group and development stage. We achieve this by using a multi-faceted approach in our delivery of what we think, is the best child care environment for your child. Every child is individual and therefore may require different needs. Our inclusive setting ensures every child is cared for and safe. We embrace the Early Years Foundation framework by implementing the following: 

Development Goals

We communicate your child’s developmental goals with parents on a regular basis and parents have access to their child’s independent learning file when required. 

Our Nursery Environment

Our vibrant and exciting curriculum allows children to participate and learn in a caring environment; often to exceeding the EYFS Development Matters age group outcomes. We regularly assess and monitor your child’s early learning goals and can adapt learning activities to ensure these are maximised.

Puddle-Ducks Education

Our staff undertake continuous professional development so that their skills are updated to give assurance to parents that their child is looked after by professionals who are enthusiastic and take pride in their field of work.

Healthy Eating Habits

The ‘Professional Nursery Kitchen’ supply our food, they are a purpose-built central kitchen designed to produce fresh, healthy meals specifically for nursery aged children. 

All Inclusive Fees

Monthly invoices are sent to parents electronically so that all charges are clearly shown. Additional nursery care days can be purchased after authorisation by the nursery manager and invoices will be issued separately for these.

Open 51 Weeks A Year

We are here for your childcare needs, 51 weeks a year, excluding bank holidays. Puddle-Ducks is a full-day nursery open 7.30am to 6.30pm.

The staff are caring, personable and friendly - many of them built very close relationships with (my son) and he is (nearly) always happy to get there in the morning and run into the breakfast room for toast. It is truly a family orientated nursery and a lovely atmosphere for our son to be in.
We value our good relationship with parents and maintain this via daily communication about their child’s day in the nursery, monthly newsletters, two parent consultations each year and always an opportunity to book additional appointments with staff to discuss your child’s wellbeing.
In addition we have two fun days each year; a Summer fair and Christmas event which both give a good excuse for parents to socialise with each other and for the children to show their parents what they have learnt whilst having fun. We gain feedback from parents regularly and assess our questionnaires which are used to improve our services and communication systems.
Puddle-ducks has provided (my son) with a wonderful environment in which to grow and explore, with cuddles from the excellent carers never far away. The facilities are excellent, and they use the outside space as much as they can which is a great outlet for boisterous toddlers.
